Valentina Gemignani, Director
Born in Chieti in 1972.
Graduated in Law cum laude in 1994 and in Administration Sciences in 2006 at the University of Teramo.
Qualified as a lawyer by the Court of Appeal of L'Aquila in 1997. She has obtained an Executive Master’s degree in management of Public Administrations at SDA Bocconi in 2019.
Since 2020 she has been a top-tier manager of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where she serves as the Managing Director of the Directorate of Treasury Services in the Department of General Administration, Personnel and Services, and the Deputy Cabinet Officer.
From 2015 to 2021 she held the position of Director of the Cabinet at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
From 2008 to 2014 she was director of the Human Resources and, ad interim, of the Administration, Finance and Control department of Laziodisu, the administrative body for the right to academic education of Lazio region.
From 2005 to 2008 she served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the General Directorate for Cooperation Development and in the Legislative Office. Previously, she held a contract in the Subsidiaries management Department of the Municipality of Rome.
From 2001 to 2004 she held the position of General Manager at the Municipality of Chignolo Po (PV).
From 1996 to 2004 she served as a Municipal Secretary in the province of Pavia.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and a member of the technical-financial verification committee for monitoring expenditure at the Ministry of Education, University and Research as well as of the Single Guarantee Committee of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and of the National Observatory for the Right to University Study.
Among the many other positions held, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Sogei spa of Studiare Sviluppo srl, of the Agency of assets seized and confiscated from the mafia.
She is also a member of the Board of Auditors of the Italian Antitrust Authority.
She has collaborated with the Chair of Institutions of Public Law of the degree course in Business Administration of the Bocconi University of Milan and with the chair of Institutions of Public Law of the degree course in Political Science of the Roma Tre University.
She has been appointed member of the Board of Directors of Poste Italiane since 8 May 2023.
