SDG 7

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

Energy is central to nearly all of the major challenges and opportunities facing the world today.

Sustainable energy is an opportunity – transforming lives, economies and the planet.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was the initiator of the Sustainable Energy for All initiative aimed at ensuring universal access to modern energy services, improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable resources.

 Our contribution in 2023

99%

of the Group’s electricity needs come from 100% renewable sources certified through Guarantees of Origin

-10%

energy intensity of direct and indirect GHG Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to 2022

about €24 mln

annual investments for initiatives aimed at reducing emissions, allowing an annual saving of 6,711tCO2e and annual monetary savings > €3.9 million

Global community targets

By 2030, ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services

By 2030, increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix

By 2030, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency

By 2030, enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and advanced and cleaner fossil-fuel technology, and promote investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology

By 2030, expand infrastructure and upgrade technology for supplying modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries, in particular least developed countries, small island developing States, and land-locked developing countries, in accordance with their respective programmes of support

How do we share the value we produce?

We are a key protagonist of Italy’s economic, social and productive panorama, as a unique Company in the country in terms of size, recognisability and presence.

There is a close connection between the results we achieve through our business model and the needs of the Italian territory.

We collaborate to achieve the objectives of SDG 7 by creating value with:
